The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said that arrest by proxy is unprofessional, illegal, and unacceptable.  Arrest by proxy is when a close relative or associate of a suspect is arrested and withheld until the suspect is apprehended. In a post shared on his X, Adejobi said;”Re-echo it.
