Bandits k!ll policeman and vigilante in Sokoto
Gunmen suspected to be bandits have k!lled one policeman, Inspector Mark Nzeh and a vigilante, Muhammed Dan Amo, in Sokoto State. It was learnt that the incident occurred around 3am on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Kwanan Milgoma along Sokoto-Bodinga road while the operatives were on patrol. A senior police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the attack to the Daily Trust. According to him, the operatives were caught unaware by the gunmen who came in a white Hilux. The gunmen met the operatives at a checkpoint along Sokoto-Bodinga road and opened fire on them. They k!lled one policeman and a vigilante and went away with two AK-47 rifles,” the source said.
