‘Survivor’ contestant Brandon Hantz arrested for racketeering and arson
Brandon Hantz, a veteran of the “Survivor” franchise, has been arrested on charges of racketeering conspiracy and arson, alongside several alleged associates facing murder charges. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas unsealed a 22-count indictment on Wednesday, charging Hantz and 13 others with various crimes related to their alleged involvement with the Bandidos motorcycle gang. Prosecutors allege that the Bandidos are engaged in a turf war with a rival gang, BEAST, and that the Bandidos issued a “smash on site” order against their rivals, instructing members to assault and even murder BEAST members. While Hantz, who reportedly uses the nicknames “Loco” and “Gun Drop,” is not accused of assault or murder, he faces two charges: racketeering conspiracy and arson, each carrying up to 20 years in prison. A federal law enforcement source confirmed to TMZ that the former “Survivor” contestant was charged in connection with the indictment. A family member revealed that the FBI raided Hantz’s home, even though he reportedly left the Bandidos gang last year. Hantz, who appeared on “Survivor: South Pacific” and “Survivor: Caramoan,” gained attention in the latter season for a heated altercation with fellow contestant Phillip Sheppard, which culminated in Hantz dumping out his tribe’s food reserves. Hantz’s last name is well-known in “Survivor” circles, as he is the nephew of Russell Hantz, one of the most infamous villains in the show’s history. Authorities have not yet responded to inquiries from law enforcement or people close to Hantz regarding the charges. The post ‘Survivor’ contestant Brandon Hantz arrested for racketeering and arson appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
