Zamfara lecturer and his son regain freedom after one month in bandits’ captivity

The former Head of Mass Communication Department at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Malam Aliyu Damri and his son, Ahmad, have regained their freedom from bandits after one month in captivity. Bandits abducted Damri along with his son and six other people at his residence in Bakura town, the headquarters of Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State on January 23, 2025.  The terrorists besieged the town around 2:00am on January 23, 2025 and began shooting sporadically.  The gunmen began a house-house search and made away with animals which included goats, sheep and cows. Family members and colleagues confirmed the release the Father and son on Thursday, February 20, but didn’t mention the fate of other victims.   The post Zamfara lecturer and his son regain freedom after one month in bandits’ captivity appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
